  • Case Study Adding New Feature on App Tasty

  • Scalable Optimization & Control Lab

Research Assistant in Scalable Optimization and Control lab under Professor Yang Zheng. (https://github.com/soc-ucsd) Responsible for building mathematical control system model for autonomous vehicles. Autonomous vehicles have been very popular today and it is essential to know that autonomous vehicles could actually control the traffic flow and this could reduce the cost of building roads, and fuel economy. In our research, we use a ring road situation and simulate the autonomous with the human-driven vehicle on the ring road. Now we are currently building a website to share the experiment data and math model with the public. We are also working on the MPC model prediction control model for the ring road situation and see if the model could optimize the situation better.

  • Comparative Cognition Lab

Responsible for making electronic parts to assist experiments with monkeys. We made electronic WIFI connecting lights for the monkey cognition experiment. It has the ability to collect data and put it into a database for future investigation.

  • Bitcoin Hashing Model from ECE 111 Advanced Digital system design

Build a bitcoin hashing model using a hashing algorithm and SHA256 using System Verilog.

  • Self-driving car model with PID control

Making a model car that could follow a certain path using light dependent sensor and PID control. In the lab we need to do circuit connection, soldering PCBs, 3D print the main structure of the car, and write code using C. We use a Light-dependent sensor to detect the line on the ground. We also need to change and test the PID configuration to make the car able to self-drive on a black line. Our group won the award of the fastest car which followed the line in UCSD Fall 2021.
